Help the Texas Trees Foundation make a difference by paying it back; plant, mulch or weed nursery trees at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm & Education Center.  Each day, trees filter our air, clean our water, shade the bench you are sitting on plus enhance the beauty of Dallas.  The TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm & Education Center is one of the largest urban tree farms in the nation and it takes a concerted volunteer effort to keep this treasure progressing forward.  To keep it running full steam ahead, we need the help of volunteers to help us replant, transplant, mulch and control the weeds at the farm; as well some general maintenance and upkeep.  The work allows you to offset your carbon footprint and keeps the Green Movement alive; and it’s a great way to get your Saturday morning exercise.  This event will occur on the third week of the month, for each month except for June, July and August.  If you are brave enough to take the heat, then please call us and we can set up another volunteer event.  The staff at the Texas Trees Foundation would like to Thank You for your exhaustive efforts.  We know that we rely on volunteers, such as you, to help us maintain this jewel in the heart of the urban forest.  We appreciate your support, both as a volunteer and as a donor.  If you would like to give to the Texas Trees Foundation, please visit our website at texastrees.org.All we ask is that you bring closed toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen, along with a positive attitude.  We will provide the water and safety glasses and all the tools you will need to fulfill your goals.  Again, we are grateful for your help and hope to see you out at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm & Education Center for a TREEmendously awesome time.
